Manchester United plotting last-minute raid on Arsenal

Manchester United are reportedly pushing for a move to sign Arsenal right-back Mathieu Debuchy ahead of the January transfer deadline. The 30-year-old is keen to leave the Emirates this month in a bid to secure regular first-team football ahead of Euro 2016, with Hector Bellerin forcing him out of the starting line-up under Arsene Wenger. Both Aston Villa and Sunderland are understood to be interested in signing him on loan, but it appears as though United could be added to the list ahead of the deadline on Monday night, according to The Daily Star.
