It has been revealed that Manchester United are pondering a move for Arsenal fullback Mathieu Debuchy. The Daily Mail claims that United are considering a last-minute move to sign Debuchy on loan. Arsene Wenger insisted at his press conference on Monday morning that the Arsenal right-back was likely to stay, despite interest from Sunderland and Aston Villa. But United are understood to have joined the race with Louis van Gaal desperate for defensive cover following injuries to five of his full-backs. Luke Shaw, Antonio Valencia, Matteo Darmian, Marcos Rojo and Ashley Young are among those sidelined with United lacking options in defence.
