Four-goal Arsenal hero admits he may retire

Former Arsenal forward Andrey Arshavin has admitted that he could be set to hang up his boots and retire rom the game after Kuban Krasnodar terminated his contract, according to The Sun. The 34-year-old spent five seasons with Arsenal before heading back to his homeland with Zenit St Petersburg in 2013, but has admitted the prospect of finding a new club could just force him to retire instead. 'If I get one, I will study the offer, otherwise I might quit football,' he said. The Russian joined Arsenal for £15million in the winter of 2009, but cut a largely divisive figure during his time there, scoring a total of 31 goals in 143 appearances across all competitions.
