Sporting Lisbon are in the midst of talks with highly rated defensive midfielder William Carvalho, as they're afraid his current £35m release clause is at risk of being activated, according to Portuguese publication Record. We've long been linked with a move for the 23-year-old, as we've been without a dedicated defensive midfielder for years.
