Paul Wilkinson scored a late equaliser for the leaders and eventual champions Everton against their bogey team Oxford, Ian Rush scored a hat-trick in Liverpool’s 4-3 win over Leicester and, at Old Trafford, 13th-placed Manchester United beat Watford 3-1.
