Young keeper signs new deal

Arsenal have announced that Matt Macey has signed a new contract at the club. The 21 year old has found himself part of the matchday squad in recent weeks, providing back-up for David Ospina who has come into the team in the absence of Petr Cech. The Czech international is expected back in the squad after the international break, while the Colombian has reminded people of his quality with some impressive saves – even if results haven't been so good. Macey has yet to make an appearance for Arsenal, but did have a 4 game loan spell last January at Accrington in League 2. They lost all 4 games.
