Arsenal agree terms with midfield target but stingy Wenger reluctant to meet £35m asking price

Arsenal appear to be well placed to sign Granit Xhaka in the summer, with Bleacher Report claiming that personal terms have been agreed in principle with the Switzerland midfielder. According to Bleacher Report insider Dean Jones, the Gunners have been in dialogue with the Borussia Monchengladbach star over the past month and terms have been settled on. But Jones adds that an obstacle to the transfer could be Arsene Wenger’s reluctance to do business with the Bundesliga club while their asking price for the 23-year-old stands at £35m.
