Former Arsenal ace embarrassingly has contract terminated by Euro giants

According to the club's official website, Wolfsburg have terminated the contract of former Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner. The Danish international managed just 24 Premier League goals during his five full campaigns in north London, nine of which came during one season alone, whilst producing a strike rate of 0.27 goals per appearance across all competitions. Following underwhelming loan spells with Sunderland and Juventus and a host of off-the-field issues, including threatening a Copenhagen taxi driver, the 6 foot 4 striker moved to Wolfsburg on a free transfer in summer 2014.
