Massive blow… Arsenal star will miss EURO 2016 following knee surgery

Arsenal’s Danny Welbeck will not be a part of England’s EURO 2016 set-up after having surgery on his injured knee which will leave him out of action for nine months, according to the club's official website. The Gunners forward was forced off in the first half of the club’s 2-2 draw at Manchester City on Sunday after going down in some pain. Having just returned from a lengthy spell on the sidelines there was a real sense of worry as he was treated on the turf, and now it's known that the anxiety was justified with the 25-year-old set for another long spell out of action.
