Everton consider director of football role, ex-Arsenal player in mix

Everton are tossing up the possibility of bringing a director of football to the club over the summer, with club legend Joe Royle and former Arsenal winger Marc Overmars in contention for the role according to The Daily Mail. The Toffees had a disappointing 2015-16 and as such are expected to face a battle to hold onto their best players, especially John Stones and Romelu Lukaku. With a new owner at the helm on Merseyside, the Goodison Park club are expected to undergo a serious revamp over the summer.
