Alexis Sanchez switches squad number to 7 as Arsenal unveil new kit

Arsenal have confirmed that Alexis Sanchez will play in the number seven shirt next season after unveiling the team's new kit for the 2016-17 campaign. The Chile international has worn the 17 shirt since his arrival at the Emirates from Barcelona in 2014, but following the departure of Tomas Rosicky, the 27-year-old has snapped up his ex-teammate's squad number. The new kit, manufactured by Puma, retains Arsenal's classic red and white colours, but the home shirt includes a new vertical stripe down the front, and the white shorts have a red band down the side.
