Arsenal interested in top-class striker; contact made with agent of prolific South American

This is one for Arsenal fans to get excited about. Sky Sports understands that the Gunners ARE interested in signing Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain. The Gunners have yet to make an offer for the Argentina international hitman but Sky in Italia reports that 'intermediaries' have been in contact with Higuain's brother, who acts as his agent. Sky Sports adds that the 28-year-old would cost Arsenal a club-record fee. According to BBC Sport, the most that the Gunners have ever paid for a player was £42.5m for Mesut Ozil in 2013.
