Arsenal transfer news: Loan deal agreed for 27-times capped international

Arsenal have reportedly agreed to allow Wojciech Szczesny to rejoin Roma on loan for this season. The Poland international goalkeeper spent the 2015-16 campaign on loan with the Italian giants, making 34 Serie A appearances to help Roma to a third-place finish behind Juventus and Napoli. According to Sky Italia, cited by Sky Sports, Roma have been in negotiations to extend Szczesny’s stay, and a deal is now in place for the 26-year-old to return to the Giallorossi for another year. Szczesny has made 181 appearances for Arsenal since making his debut in a League Cup tie with West Bromwich Albion in 2009, but a second spell at Roma would suggest his Gunners career is over.
