Arsenal fail with striker bid, over £20m short of club’s valuation

Arsenal have failed with a 35m (£29.4m) offer for Lyon’s impressive striker Alexandre Lacazette, according to Get French Football News. The Gunners have been searching for a centre-forward for much of the summer, but have thus far been unable to lure a big name to the north of London, with top target, Gonzalo Higuain, thought to be on the verge of joining Juventus.
