Arsenal to Offer More Than 40 million for French Striker

Arsenal are set to make an improved offer of over 40 million for Lyon forward Alexandre Lacazette according to l’Equipe (via Get French Football News). It emerged yesterday that Arsenal had a 35 million bid for Lacazette rejected. Lyon took to Twitter to tell the world of Arsenal’s bid in a move which was certainly out of the ordinary (via Lyon). Although the statement does not specifically say when Arsenal’s 35 million offer was placed, it does state that the club will do everything to keep the player who is “irreplaceable” and “one of the main leaders of Bruno Genesio’s group.” West Ham United made a number of bids for the striker earlier in the summer which were all...
