Arsenal receive major transfer boost in quest to solve defensive crisis

Arsenal have received a boost in their hunt to sign Shkodran Mustafi from Valencia according to the daily tabloid paper The Mirror. Per-the-source, Mustafi has been training away from the rest of the Valencia first team as the La Liga giants prepare for the Germany international's exit. The report goes onto state that Valencia have insisted that they will not negotiate on the price for the German defender but it is thought the deal will go through if Arsenal match his asking price. The Gunners were forced to start their opening game of the Premier League season against Liverpool with with rookie Rob Holding alongside Calum Chambers in defence.
