Arsenal 'eyeing up AS Monaco defender Marcel Tisserand'

Arsenal are reportedly weighing up a move for AS Monaco ace Marcel Tisserand as their search for a new defender continues. Gunners boss Arsene Wenger recently admitted that he is looking to strengthen his defensive ranks before the transfer window closes following the loss of Per Mertesacker and Gabriel Paulista to injury. Valencia's Shkodran Mustafi is understood to be Wenger's top choice to come in, but the supposed £50m asking price is now likely to force Arsenal to look elsewhere before the August 31 deadline.
