Champions League draw: Leicester to avoid Europe's elite but Tottenham face daunting task

GETTY Leicester City will avoid the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona in the Champions League draw Holders Madrid and the winners of the top seven leagues in Europe are all guaranteed a place in Pot One when the 32 qualifiers are split into eight groups of four at this afternoon’s ceremony in Monaco. The rest of the Premier League clubs face a more anxious wait although Manchester City’s success in reaching the semi-finals of last year’s competition means that, even though they had to qualify via a two-legged play-off against Steaua Bucharest, they go straight into Pot Two, with all other seedings dependent upon UEFA coefficient.
