Arsenal beat Basel 2-0 in the Champions League at the Emirates to move into second place in Group A on four points. Theo Walcott scored a first-half brace to wrap up all three points for the Gunners and found the back of the net in his third consecutive game in the process. Walcott now has five goals in seven appearances for the Gunners in all competitions this season – two in the Champions Legue and three in the league.
