Poor Man United, Kane inflicting pain at the Lane... five things we learned this weekend

Premier League football returned to our lives over the weekend and it certainly came back with a bang. Manchester United and Arsenal got things underway with a pretty rubbish 1-1 draw. Jose Mourinho's side thought they'd managed to secure all three points over the Gunners, who had not been beaten since the opening weekend of the season, but substitute Olivier Giroud popped up with a late equaliser to ensure Arsene Wenger's side continued their 11-game unbeaten run in the league. Elsewhere, West Ham were heading towards an unexpected, but desperately needed, victory over Tottenham at White Hart Lane before Harry Kane popped up with a extremely late brace to hand Spurs a 3-2 win.
