Arsene Wenger sweating on the fitness of injured stars ahead of Southampton clash

GETTY Arsene Wenger could be without Olivier Giroud and Mathieu Debuchy for a while Debuchy and Giroud suffered hamstring problems in Sunday’s 3-1 win over Bournemouth and will undergo scans later today. Debuchy fears he could be out for six weeks after describing his injury as “severe” post match, but Giroud’s is not thought to be as serious. Even so, Giroud is set to miss tomorrow’s EFL Cup clash against Southampton and could also be a doubt for this weekend’s trip to West Ham.
