Arsenal transfer news: Gunners given boost in quest to sign striker Luiz Adriano

Arsenal Arsenal and Liverpool target Luiz Adriano has given both Premier League sides a boost by revealing he is unlikely to remain at Shakhtar Donetsk when his contract ends in December. Adriano has impressed with nine goals in seven Champions League matches this campaign but his time in Ukraine appears to be coming to an end. "My plan is to respect the contract, which has not been renewed and will expire in December 2015," said the Brazilian. "I am in a good moment of my career and we'll do what will be best for me and for the club. "With my contract set to expire and many good performances, it'll be difficult to stay in Ukraine."
