Wenger Explains Why He's Resting Sanchez

Arsene Wenger has explained why he has decided to rest Alexis Sanchez for Saturday’s FA Cup Third Round Clash with Preston at Deepdale. Sanchez is the club’s topscorer this season with 15 goals and has already made 26 appearances in all competitions for the Gunners. Sanchez’s hunger for the game and desire to play is well-known but Wenger has decided the time has come to take the Chile international out of the firing line. “They are human beings – you have to give them a breather at some stage.
