Wenger wees on Italian transfer guff

Arsene Wenger has dismissed suggestions he wants to sign an Argentine striker, currently playing in Italy, after the chairman of the club to whom the player is contracted claimed a bid had been lodged by the Gunners. It was obviously utter bollocks from start to finish, although that didn't stop pretty much every newspaper in England reporting it. And Arsene has said as much this morning. 'Ask him [the chairman of the club] to show you the offer…[there's no interest] not at all,' said the boss when asked about the ‘bid'. We're not even going to mention the player, the chairman or the club involved. They bring Adrian Durham levels of shame on Serie A.
