Manchester City Planning £50M Bid For Leonardo Bonucci

It has been revealed that Manchester City are plotting a massive bid for Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci. The Daily Star says City have again made Bonucci a £50m target to strengthen their defence and replace Vincent Kompany. The Juve strongman has told friends in Italy it is his ambition to play for City boss Pep Guardiola. Ideally, Guardiola would prefer to sign younger players, but he needs to address defensive problems and Bonucci is seen as an experienced head alongside John Stones. Bonucci, also linked with Chelsea and Manchester United, is on £110,000-a-week in Turin but City would happily double that.
