Lionel Messi is reportedly blocking Manchester United’s attempts to sign Jordi Alba. Jose Mourinho is understood to have his eye on the Barcelona star as he looks to bolster his squad in the summer. But Spanish publication Diario Gol claim Messi is trying to stop Alba leaving with the Argentine concerned they won’t be able to replace him. Alba won’t come cheap though if United want to sign him with his release clause set at £130m.
