Arsenal won the game at the King Power Stadium 1-0 thanks to a second-half own goal by Leicester defender Robert Huth. However, the Gunners' win was marred by an incident involving Alexis Sanchez and Foxes left-back Christian Fuchs. The Austria international took a throw-in which struck Sanchez in the face before the Chilean flung himself to the floor in dramatic fashion. Referee Mike Jones was not conned and gave the Arsenal man a yellow card and he was later mocked by fans on social media.
