Southampton are reportedly interested in bringing defender Calum Chambers back to the club on loan from Arsenal, but face strong competition from elsewhere. The England Under-21s international came through the Saints' academy ranks and spent a couple of seasons in the first-team setup before being signed by Arsenal for £16m in 2014. Chambers is likely to struggle to break into the Gunners' starting lineup next season and, having spent time on loan at relegated Middlesbrough last term, could be farmed out once again in 2017-18.
