Chelsea, Arsenal donate Community Shield proceeds to Grenfell Tower victims

London rivals Chelsea and Arsenal have agreed to donate all proceeds from their Community Shield clash to the victims of the Grenfell Tower fire. The Premier League and FA Cup winners are due to face off on August 8 in the traditional season curtain-raiser at Wembley Stadium. All the money earned from the match will go directly to those affected by last week's fire at a block of flats in West London, while the Football Association and sponsors McDonald's will also contribute. It is hoped that £1.25m will be raised in the joint-effort, which FA Chairman Greg Clarke is hopeful can help those caught up in the horrific blaze.
