Alexis Sanchez 'willing to take pay cut to join Manchester City'

Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez has reportedly lowered his wage demands in a bid to force through a move to Manchester City this summer. The 28-year-old is understood to have demanded £400,000 a week to stay at Arsenal, where he is currently in the final year of his contract. The Gunners are unwilling to meet that price, however, instead tabling an offer which would see Sanchez pick up £300,000 a week. The Independent reports that Sanchez would be willing to take less than the amount on offer from Arsenal should he be allowed to join Man City, though, such is his desire to reunite with former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola.
