Midway through the opening 45 minutes, Stoke winger Mame Diouf had a coming together with Arsenal wing-back Hector Bellerin in the 18-yard box following a through ball from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. Referee Andre Mariner waved away claims from the vistors and awarded a corner kick after goalkeeper Jack Butland fumbled the ball behind.
