Liverpool set to launch club-record 60m bid for top-class Arsenal target

Liverpool have reportedly made an inquiry with Monaco over the possibility of signing Thomas Lemar ahead of the transfer deadline for 60m. The 21-year-old was highly influential for the French outfit last season, scoring 14 goals and providing 17 assists in 55 appearances in all competitions, as he helped them win the Ligue 1 title. In turn, interest was strong in him this summer with Arsenal heavily linked with a swoop, but as reported by The Telegraph, it could now be Liverpool who prise him away from France as they consider launching a 60m bid, a fee that would be make him their club-record signing.
