Arsene Wenger has insisted Thomas Lemar did want to join Arsenal Thomas Lemar was a target for Arsenal and a number of other top European clubs this summer following his fine performances for Monaco last term. The Gunners were said to be battling it out with Liverpool on deadline day for the 21-year-old winger. A move to the Emirates failed to materialise amid reports Lemar had no interest in moving to north London.
