Chelsea defender Luiz was sent off for a tackle on Gunners left-back Sead Kolasinac with less than five minutes remaining at Stamford Bridge. The Brazilian went in with his studs showing on the shin of Kolasinac and referee Michael Olivier had no hestiation to brandish the red card. Smith does not think the tackle was malicious but agreed it was dangerous enough to be worthy of a red card.
