U-23s: Everton v Arsenal - Preview
The story so far Our under-23s will be keen to continue their strong start to the season by picking up another three points against Everton, the visitors to Meadow Park on Monday night. Steve Gatting’s side have begun the campaign with promise, securing victory in our last fixture against Leicester City. We saw off a physical Foxes side courtesy of an own goal from Darnell Johnson, and briefly joined Liverpool at the top of the Premier League 2 table. However, the Reds now lead us by three points after beating West Ham 2-0. The opposition Everton have also enjoyed an encouraging start to the season and sit just two points behind us in third place.
