Macey - 'This was a big step in my career'

Matt Macey has come through a notable nine days in his burgeoning career. After making his Arsenal debut in last week’s 2-1 win over Norwich City in the Carabao Cup, our 6ft 7in goalkeeper impressed once again in his first European start as we drew 0-0 with Red Star Belgrade. "Obviously that’s the aim for all the young lads here in the academy," Macey said. "That’s the dream when you join Arsenal as a kid, to go on and be a regular and it’s just part of the stepping stones, but there’s a lot more hard work and I’ve got a lot more to do to make the next step.
