Patrick Vieira is the ideal replacement for Arsene Wenger, says Ray Parlour Arsenal stuck by Arsene Wenger in the summer, handing the Frenchman a new two-year contract until the end of the 2018/19 season. However, Ray Parlour thinks his former side must not rest on their laurels and should already be planning for his replacement. And the 44-year-old thinks his former team-mate Patrick Vieira would be the ideal candidate, with Thierry Henry also in the mix-up in the future. “If I was Arsenal now, I’d be looking in two years time, whenever it’s going to be, and see who is going to be interested in taking over,” he told AskFans.
