'Great player', 'Legend' - Arsenal fans praise club's former hero on Twitter

Alan Smith might have only scored twice for England, but he managed 115 goals in 347 appearances for Arsenal between 1987 and 1995. Smith will be remembered by the younger generation as a commentator for Sky Sports, but he certainly knew how to find the back of the net during his playing career. He won four trophies during his time at Arsenal, including the UEFA Cup Winners Cup during the 1993-94 campaign.
