Cazorla has not appeared in an Arsenal shirt since October 2016 due to a chronic issue with his foot. The Spanish playmaker had eight operations in a bid to recover, with one resulting in a serious infection which meant doctors removed skin from his forearm and attached it to his Achilles tendon. The 32-year-old had been aiming to return in the new year but he has announced that discomfort has meant he’s gone under the knife again.
