Manchester City 'to launch January bid for Alexis Sanchez'

Manchester City will reportedly table a January offer for Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez, as boss Pep Guardiola fears losing out at the end of the season. The Citizens came close to landing the Chile international during the summer window, only for their Premier League rivals to pull out of a £60m deadline-day deal. Guardiola had hoped to wait another six months before taking Sanchez on a free contract, but the Manchester Evening News suggests that the Catalan coach's plans have changed after learning of two rival bids.
