Dermot Gallagher: 'No issues with second Manchester City goal in EFL Cup final'

Former Premier League official Dermot Gallagher has said that the referee was correct in allowing Manchester City's second goal to stand in the EFL Cup final with Arsenal. Early in the second half, Vincent Kompany diverted the ball into the net from an onside position, although Gunners boss Arsene Wenger claimed that Leroy Sane - who was standing in the six-yard box - was interfering with play. However, Gallagher has suggested that Sane's position in the area did not hinder Ospina's attempt to prevent the ball from hitting the back of the net.
