Celebrating World Down Syndrome Day
Arsenal in the Community have worked in partnership with North London United for the last four years to run weekly inclusive football sessions for young people with Down Syndrome. To celebrate World Down Syndrome Day, our participants were invited to the Watford home fixture where they met Per Mertesacker and received awards in front of thousands of supporters, before enjoying the game from the Arsenal Sensory Room. They also took part in a celebratory football festival to mark the day.
