Arsenal transfer target on verge of leaving current club, bargain summer deal possible

As reported by The Sun, Arsenal's chances of signing Max Meyer have been boosted after his club Schalke confirmed it's likely he will be leaving when his contract expires this summer. What's the story? The central midfield area is one in need of improvement at the end of the season, with a number of faltering performances in the middle of the park contributing to poor results for the Gunners this term.
