Jack Wilshere has received an “improved offer” to stay at Arsenal with his contract due to run out at the end of the current season. Arsene Wenger revealed that the 26-year-old had been offered a new long-term deal with the club at a press conference two weeks ago, but the offer was reported to be a £20,000 per week pay-cut from his current contract and so a stand-off ensued.
