Women: Arsenal 1-3 Chelsea - How it happened

We slipped to defeat in the final of the SSE Women’s FA Cup on Saturday, as Chelsea ran out 3-1 winners at Wembley.  Vivianne Miedema’s goal in the 73rd minute gave us hope of sparking a comeback, but Fran Kirby was quick to restore the Blues’ two-goal lead at the end of a frustrating afternoon in north London. Jordan Nobbs made two darting runs down the right wing in the opening stages, but the Chelsea defence held their shape to deny Miedema an opener.
