Manchester United assistant manager Rui Faria to step down

Jose Mourinho's right-hand man Rui Faria has announced that he will leave Manchester United after next weekend's FA Cup final. The Red Devils assistant, who has worked alongside Mourinho for more than 17 years, intends to take the step into full-time management. Faria is seen as an outside contender to replace Arsene Wenger at Arsenal in the summer, having gained experience assisting Mourinho across the continent for nearly two decades. In a statement on United's official website, the 42-year-old said: "After a lot of consideration, and with a very heavy heart, I have decided the time is right for me to move on.
