Liverpool may rival Arsenal for Gelson Martins as Nabil Fekir alternative on FREE transfer LIVERPOOL could reignite their interest in Gelson Martins as the club hunt new attacking targets. By Jack Staplehurst / Published 12th June 2018 A deal to sign Lyon playmaker Nabil Fekir was all but done last week for £53m. But a transfer collapsed after Liverpool rose concerns over the France international’s medical report and his previous knee surgery. Lyon have called off negotiations for now at least with Fekir heading to the World Cup. And it remains to be seen if talks with continue at a later stage in the summer.
