Atletico Madrid sign Thomas Lemar: Premier League giants miss out on Monaco star ATLETICO MADRID have confirmed they have reached an agreement with Monaco to sign Thomas Lemar. By Marc Williams / Published 12th June 2018 The 22-year-old, who had been linked with a move to Liverpool and Arsenal, will make the switch to La Liga after the World Cup. Atletico statement read: "Atletico de Madrid and AS Monaco have achieved a preliminary agreement over the transfer of Thomas Lemar to our club.
