Why Guendouzi will miss the Liverpool game
After Matteo Guendouzi was sent off against Blackpool on Wednesday night, there was some confusion as to what competition he would be suspended for. To clarify, we can confirm that any player receiving two yellow cards (equalling a red card) in a domestic game will miss the next first-team match. This applies to the Premier League, Carabao Cup and Emirates FA Cup. Europa League dismissals are confined to that competition. As such, Matteo will be suspended for Saturday's clash against Liverpool at Emirates Stadium.
