Report: Arsenal join Liverpool in hunt for RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner

Arsenal have joined Liverpool in the race to sign RB Leipzig's highly-rated striker Timo Werner, according to a report. The 22-year-old has bagged 24 goals in the German top flight since the start of last season to grow a reputation of being one of the most prolific forwards on the continent. Werner, who has returned to form with five goals in five games since the start of December, recently emerged as a target for Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool. Bayern Munich are also known to hold an interest in the Germany international, who recently hinted that he would be keen on joining the Bundesliga champions should he be sold at the end of the season.
